Drawing set P-01 / Invite-only cloud preview

Design VR architecture studies without rebuilding the experiment stack.

VREVAL gives research teams a cloud workspace for 3D study authoring, reusable questionnaires, participant sessions, and runtime data collection for Unity and Quest-based evaluations.

Cloud access is available by invitation today. VREVAL is planned to become open-source and self-hostable with Version 1. Public registrations will open after the preview phase.

DWG-04

Run sessions

Participant code, runtime API, and output timeline recorded per revision

Field notes / coordination gaps

VR research workflows are still held together with glue code.

Note A-01

Fragmented tools

Models live in CAD and game engines, questionnaires live in survey tools, and participant tracking often lives in spreadsheets.

Note A-02

Hard-coded studies

Each study tends to become a custom Unity project, making replication and iteration expensive.

Note A-03

Lost context

Survey answers and session logs are hard to connect back to the exact scene, spot, variant, and study version.

Note A-04

Slow iteration

Moving a waypoint or changing an evaluation instrument should not require another round of engine scripting.

Civil workflow / station chain

From 3D assets to structured participant runs.

VREVAL keeps the research protocol, spatial scene, forms, runtime contract, and collected outputs in one project-scoped workspace.

Specification blocks

Purpose-built building blocks for VR evaluation studies.

Assets

3D and media library

Upload GLB models, images, audio, and video assets, then reuse them across studies and scene compositions.

Composition

Asset groups and stages

Combine model layers into reusable asset groups and assemble study or task scenes from project-owned building blocks.

Spatial authoring

Spot placement

Define checkpoints, gates, information points, and sound markers with positions that stay tied to the project coordinate system.

Instruments

Reusable forms

Build forms with Likert scales, choices, free text, semantic differentials, information blocks, and page breaks.

Protocols

Block and task workspace

Structure studies into blocks and tasks, configure the selected item in an inspector, and activate stable study snapshots.

Runtime

Participant sessions

Issue participant codes, serve study definitions and assets to runtime clients, and record outputs through the Study API.

Comparisons

A/B study tasks

Configure comparison phases, candidate sets, ranking modes, pre/post forms, and in-place or teleported candidate presentation.

Variants

Variant-plan authoring

Prepare levels and facets for structured design variants so studies can connect stimuli, spots, and forms consistently.

Review

Evaluation run timeline

Inspect recorded session outputs, flags, durations, raw responses, and the last known runtime state from the dashboard.

Inspection checklist

Designed around reproducible study runs.

A VR evaluation is only useful if later analysis can answer what each participant saw, when they saw it, and which study version produced the data.

QA-01

Immutable activation snapshots for versioned study definitions

QA-02

Participant and run provenance for every recorded output

QA-03

Idempotent runtime output recording for unreliable client networks

QA-04

Project-scoped asset access for designer and runtime clients

QA-05

OpenAPI-documented Study API for Unity and Quest integration
